Risk Assessment for Asbestos Materials

Description

Asbestos Materials:

1. Obtain the relevant hazard datasheet from the supplier/manufacturer and apply site-specific COSHH assessments.
2. Operatives will be familiar with the existing COSHH assessments and will be made aware of the hazards and controls.
3. Where practical low hazard substances will be used in preference to those that are hazardous.
4. PPE will be used as required especially when outlined in the COSHH assessment (e.g. masks, gloves, RPE).
5. General ventilation will be made available where possible when stripping out e.g. open windows and doors etc. to allow the draft to allow through the draft.
