Risk Assessment for Dust:

1. Dust masks shall be worn when the dust is produced particularly during strip out;
2. The required protection factor required shall be assessed by the Supervisor.
3. Dust masks shall be available on-site and worn if required. This shall be monitored by the Supervisor to ensure compliance;
4. Operatives shall be trained on the correct fitting and checking procedures of their RPE to ensure that a good seal is maintained during use. For all RPE use refer to manufacturer’s instructions;
5. There shall be no dry sweeping of dust on site. Water is to be added. RPE shall be worn;
