Risk Assessment for Use of podium steps:

1. Operatives shall be given training in the assembly, dismantling, and safe use of podium steps.
2. This shall be recorded and kept in the form of a register;
3. The podium steps shall be checked for defects by a competent individual before each use.
4. Any defects shall be reported to a supervisor or manager. Include the steps in a weekly inspection register;
5. Any defective equipment shall be taken out of use until repairs have been undertaken or the equipment is replaced;
